A former supporter of convicted killer Luke Mitchell has told how she has suffered a torrent of abuse after exposing lies by his backers.
Since 2021 his supporters have called for a case review, claiming a miscarriage of justice. The woman said she called police after her efforts to share original trial details went “down like a lead balloon” with his campaign. She said the documents “resulted in a heinous backlash from Mitchell campaigners because, I believe, the transcripts highlight the differences between what has been said by Luke’s supporters and what was really said during the trial”.
The woman, who was heavily involved in Mitchell’s campaign, noticed “those who asked questions” were “shut down”.Police told her there isn’t enough evidence to charge anyone for the abuse. She added: “I’ll keep putting up transcripts as they become available. People have paid a lot of money into the campaign and they should have all the information.”
