MANILA, Philippines — Carla Abellana said a Philippine court has recognized her divorce from ex-husband Tom Rodriguez. “We are divorced. Recognized na po 'yan ng korte, ng local court natin dito," she said. Tom, who is an American citizen, said in June 2022 that their divorce decree was final.
Carla said that she has "definitely" forgiven Tom, but she has not forgotten what transpired in their relationship. "No. Medyo ano pa po e, you know, it just doesn't leave your head, your heart even, even the body, naaalala pa rin po. Lalo na kasi it wasn't so long ago," she said. "Ang hirap po ng may bitbit na galit because life is so short. 'Pag you hold on to anger, it would just ruin you. It will manifest sa iyong health. Dala-dala n'yo po 'yan e," she said.
