Hong Kong sentences leaders of 2014 ‘Umbrella Movement’ democracy protests to prison

Protesters rally outside court in support of"Umbrella Movement" leaders who were sentenced to prison in Hong Kong on Wednesday.

While the charges carried potential sentences of up to seven years, they were still seen as unusually harsh by activists in what they called an attempt to intimidate them into silence.
