Police: Man charged with ‘concealment of corpse’ in connection to human remains found in East Patchogue

Suffolk County police say a Patchogue man has been arrested in connection to human remains that were found in East Patchogue.Garry Cowell, 72, was arrested and charged with tampering with physical evidence and concealment of a corpse. The ADA says a search warrant was executed Thursday afternoon and that’s when Cowell admitted to cutting up the body and showed police where he put the remains, as well as the ax.

The remains were transported to the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner for an autopsy and identification.
