A judge gave a Haitian illegal alien, who came to the U.S. lawfully, accused of raping a 15-year-old girl at a migrant hotel $500 bond.
Plymouth County prosecutor Shanan Buckingham said Alvarez should be deemed dangerous and remain in jail. Buckingham suggested a $10,000 cash bail due to the seriousness of the charges with several conditions, including home confinement and a GPS monitor. If Alvarez posts the bond and gets a GPS monitor, the state and local officials cannot give ICE any information due to those sanctuary laws.
She said the state had not met the “clearand convincing” legal threshold required to deny his bail request.
