The sentencing for former TikTok star Ali Abulaban, who was found guilty in the murders of his estranged wife and her friend, was delayed until September on FridayFriday was the initial date set for the convicted killer's sentencing. Abulaban's legal team requested a delay while the prosecutor from the district attorney's office objected and said the families of the victims needed closure, NBC 7 reported.

'I was trying to believe her,' Abulaban said. 'I was trying to believe that she wasn't cheating on me that she would let me fix this because I was sick. I was struggling from drugs and mental illness. And I f***** up a lot but I was trying to fix it.'Abulaban's attorney, Jodi Green, claimed he suffered childhood abuse that may have affected how he views relationships.
