After a San Antonio police officer was charged with driving while intoxicated, new details reveal that another man was accused of driving drunk during the incident near the University of Texas at San Antonio campus. On June 13, Damean Segovia, 27, was arrested by the UTSA police around 3 a.m. following a three-vehicle crash near the intersection of Loop 1604 West Access Road and Babcock Road. Colton Thomas, 27, was also charged with a DWI at the crash.

After hitting Segovia, Thomas veered off the road and struck a parked construction vehicle. His vehicle was “no longer driveable,” according to a UTSA police report obtained by MySA. Officers at the scene asked Segovia for his driver’s license, which he provided.

later revealed that Segovia had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.15 or higher. Court records show that Segovia and Thomas were both taken to the Bexar County jail and later released on bail. Segovia, who has been with the department for one year, was placed on administrative duty. will conduct an administrative investigation into his DWI arrest.
