A human rights lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, on Friday faulted the ‘commando-style' raids being carried out by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. Adeyanju charged the anti-graft agency to adopt a better approach in its operations in order to avoid violation of human rights.

A human rights lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, on Friday faulted the ‘commando-style' raids being carried out by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. Adeyanju charged the anti-graft agency to adopt a better approach in its operations in order to avoid violation of human rights. The call followed the assault on a lady in a Lagos hotel by operatives of the EFCC.

“It will be recalled that just a few weeks ago, similar allegations of unnecessary use of force were made against officers of the EFCC, following the Commission’s midnight ‘sting operation’ at a night club in Akure.
