Dr Edward Finn, who worked at hospitals across the East Midlands, pleaded guilty to a string of offences

and who admitted to committing a string of sex offences including sexually assaulting a child, is due to be sentenced today, Friday, June 28. When Dr Edward Finn entered his pleas in January, NHS Midlands said it was supporting staff who are "distressed by the betrayal" of the 36-year-old, who worked at hospitals across the East Midlands as part of his role as a trainee anaesthetist.

The defendant pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a child aged under the age of 13, three counts of taking indecent photographs of children, three counts of making indecent photographs of children and two counts of voyeurism.A previous hearing at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on November 15 was told Finn possessed 58 indecent images of children, two of which were category A - the most graphic type. He was also charged with stealing anaesthetic drugs and other equipment from NUH.

“We are providing direct support to staff who are distressed by the betrayal felt by colleagues and patients." Sherwood Forest Hospitals previouisly declined to comment.Miss Rose said: "He told the police 'I am not unwell I have to stop but I can't stop'. He said he suffered PTSD from a girl who had severe burns and who died who he was the anaesthetist for.
