It looks like local celeb Norjuma Habib Mohamed is facing some serious legal trouble. According to reports, four Magistrates' Courts have issued arrest warrants for the television personality after she failed to appear in court for cases where she is accused of causing harm to three individuals.
The public figure was reportedly seen in the court lobby around 10:30am, but the warrants were issued in the afternoon when she failed to appear in the courtrooms. As of now, the cases have been rescheduled for mention on 26th, 29th, 30th July, and 2nd August. Deputy Public Prosecutors R. Harvind, Hamizah Hisan, and Sheryn Yong, along with prosecuting officer Insp Shazwan Hasifi Shahrun, represented the prosecution.
She also faces charges for allegedly causing harm to Mohd Afiq Ismail at business premises on 21st February 2017, and for slapping and scratching Nur Solehah Rosli at a condominium in Wangsa Maju on 18th October 2021. These charges fall under Section 323 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum penalty of one year in prison, a fine of up to RM2k, or both.
Additionally, the former TV host faces two charges of property damage at a condominium in Taman U-Thant. She is accused of damaging a boom gate, causing losses estimated at RM4.2k, and a CCTV camera, with estimated losses of RM500. These charges are framed under Section 427 of the Penal Code, carrying a maximum penalty of two years in prison, a fine, or both. Norjuma was granted bail with a total amount set at RM6,500 in one surety.
