said on Thursday that it will fight Vodacom’s lawsuit that alleged spectrum pooling arrangements with Cell C and Liquid Intelligent Technologies were unlawful.last month that Vodacom had sought an interdict against communications regulator Icasa to stop MTN’s “secret” spectrum pooling arrangements. Vodacom claimed the pooling arrangements put it at a competitive disadvantage and were approved in secret by Icasa in contravention of the law.
MTN also slammed Vodacom’s claims that the spectrum pooling arrangements were pursued in secret, saying it was “open about its decision to pursue pooling arrangements with other mobile network operators”.
