Gender Based Violence,Zamfara

A civil society organization, International Alert, IA, with the support of UKAID, has expressed its readiness to enlighten victims of Gender-based Violence, GBV, on how to get access to justice.

The Project Manager of IA, Momoh Jimoh, disclosed this to journalists in Gusau, Zamfara State capital during a sensitization seminar organized for communities from Tsafe and Birnin Magaji local government areas. Jimoh said the seminar was organized to train community first responders on physiological first aid aimed at promoting stability, accountability and access to justice across the North-West.

We vowed to educate communities on how best they would acquire access to justice and resist injustice. “We also have to commend the Zamfara State Ministry of Women and Children for assisting our organization to continue from where we stopped especially after the expiration period of our presence in the state,' Momoh said.
