Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has touched down in Saipan, part of the United States, where he will face court after striking a plea deal which is expected to lead to his freedom.

Assange will appear in court at 9am on Wednesday where he is expected to plead guilty to one count of conspiring to unlawfully obtain and disseminate classified information, which is a violation of the US Espionage Act.
