IMPD is investigating after an armed carjacking suspect led police on a chase that ended in a cornfield just south of East Raymond Street.INDIANAPOLIS — A 14-year-old was arrested for his alleged role in an armed carjacking Monday afternoon on the southeast side of Indianapolis.When officers arrived, they discovered that the victim's cellphone, money and vehicle had been taken at gunpoint by two people wearing masks.
Once the suspect saw the police, he allegedly drove away, stopped in a cornfield just south of East Raymond Street and fled on foot. According to IMPD, officers found the victim's cellphone and money on the suspect. “I would ask that parents and community guardians be curious about what their young people are doing," IMPD Deputy Chief Tanya Terry said."Juveniles engaging in reckless and unlawful behavior will not be tolerated.
