A court in southern Nepal has convict a controversial spiritual leader known as “Buddha Boy” on charges of sexually assaulting a minor.

A court in southern Nepal convicted the controversial spiritual leader known as Buddha Boy on charges of sexually assaulting a minor. Bamjan, was arrested by police in January on charges of sexual assault and suspicion of involvement in the disappearance of at least four of followers from his camps.

Police said they seized Nepalese banknotes worth $227,000 and other foreign currencies amounting to $23,000 at the time of the arrest.
