One almost hit a group of schoolchildren as he sped away from officers in a car, court told

Two brothers are behind bars after police found cocaine valued at up to £300,000. Riaz Bax, 50, and his younger brother Mohammed Bax, 43, were both caught by officers in possession of drugs on the streets - Riaz three times and Mohammed once.

Riaz Bax, of Kenton Close, Halliwell, Bolton, was jailed for nine-and-a-half years after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply drugs, dangerous driving and contempt of court. Police said he would also be subjected to a three-year driving ban on his release. Mohammed Bax, 43, of Avenue Street, Halliwell, was jailed for 40 months after admitting possession with intent to supply drugs.

Then, on October 17, 2022, the same car was spotted again and followed. Police said it was 'driven erratically near a group of school children', prompting a pursuit.
