Najib SRC trial: Consulting firm paid RM300k to monitor Chinese media

Centre for Strategic Engagement Sdn Bhd director Rita Sim testified at the High Court that the firm she co-founded was hired to monitor Chinese media content for the Prime Minister’s Office .

Sim: We will look at the six Chinese dailies and social media, pick up the points and issues that affect the Chinese communities, summarise it daily, compile and send them to the media office of the PMO. During cross-examination, Najib’s counsel Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah asked if Jamaluddin had mentioned his concerns.Muhammad Shafee: Do you agree with me that it is important for any political parties, like Barisan Nasional , to understand Chinese issues if they want to address Chinese dissatisfaction with the government?

Who's Rita Sim ask any MCA leaders they know her. It's one of MCA leader from Melaka who recommended her to Najib office. That MCA fella worked for Najib as his Chinese Media Officer. Shouldn't it be his job instead of Rita Sim's company who's paid RM300,000 for 2 months job!

What is the point of monitoring? As if he cares about the Chinese!!
