Move abandoned, high court registry to remain in Kuching

The High Court Registry of Sarawak and Sabah will no longer be moved from Kuching to Kota Kinabalu after the legal fraternity strongly objected to it. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, April 23, 2019.

THE High Court Registry of Sarawak and Sabah will not move to Kota Kinabalu from Kuching as announced earlier. Federal Court Registrar Latifah Mohd Tahar said in a circular dated April 23 that the move will not take place after all.
