Wan Saiful Wan Jan,Rights And Privileges Committee,Misleading

The 43-year-old singer was arrested in Sag Harbor, a wealthy village in the Hamptons in New York state, on Tuesday after allegedly failing to pause at a stop sign and failing to stay in the right lane.

KUALA LUMPUR: Tasek Gelugor MP Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan has been referred to the Rights and Privileges Committee to determine whether his statements in February and March were misleading to the Dewan Rakyat.

The session became chaotic when all opposition MPs walked out during the voice vote, which resulted in a majority agreement on the motion. The Speaker then adjourned the sitting for lunch. Before the decision was made, Johari allowed Datuk Seri Ronald Kiandee and Syahredzan Johan to debate. "The motion's wording is sub judice, as it refers to matters under court consideration. Why are you allowing this? You are the Speaker; you must uphold the standing order. Do not insult us here."

He emphasised that the committee comprises both government and opposition members of Parliament and that they are following due process."This is the process. And we must follow due process. I believe if what Tasik Gelugor said is true, he will have no problem defending himself," he added.
