This is a full list of your rights as an airline passenger if you are unlucky enough to have had your flight cancelled amid the impending Aer Lingus pilots strike

The Irish Aviation Authority has issued advice to the tens of thousands of passengers who have fallen victim to the Aer Lingus flight cancellations announced on Friday.

If you are unlucky enough to have booked a flight with Aer Lingus that has been cancelled, the IAA says that you legally have a choice between the following: In terms of compensation payable to passengers who have suffered flight cancellations or delays, it is paid when the circumstances of either are within teh control of the airline. In the case of the Aer Lingus flight cancellations related to strike action, this matter is considered to be within the control of the airline.

You are entitled to compensation if you receive less than seven days' notice and your arrival time are later than two hours on the reroute.
