Families of the victims of two fatal 737 Max crashes are asking the Justice Department to seek to fine Boeing Co. nearly $25 billion.

Flight 302 was just six minutes into its flight to Nairobi, Kenya when it crashed, killing all 157 passengers and crew on board March 10. As a result of the crash, Ethiopia joined China and other countries in grounding their fleets of Boing 737 Max 8 jets.

The letter comes a day after Boeing Chief Executive Officer Dave Calhoun faced a public grilling from U.S. senators, who called on the company to fix its “broken safety culture.”Boeing has been under heightened scrutiny from regulators and lawmakers after a fuselage panel on a 737 Max blew off mid-flight in January.

In the letter, the families also called on the DOJ to prosecute Boeing executives who were at the company at the time of the two crashes.
