Asmadi said he had met Najib as a sign of respect as the latter was then Umno president, as well as to share his division’s plans for the 14th general election. Asmadi is the ninth prosecution witness in Najib’s money laundering and criminal breach of trust trial over RM42 million of former 1Malaysia Development Berhad unit SRC International Sdn Bhd.

Why am I not surprised?

That’s graft 🐖

Surely the cheque is a 'bonus' pay to him. Not to help setting up religious classes, after school activities & to help the poor & sickly, bcos RM50,000 cannot possibly do much. Hence, his explanation is illogical & un-assuring.
