The eye injury has resulted in him experiencing blurred vision.

Defence lawyer Tony Linden said: "Disastrous consequences arose from what was not the most forceful of punches, but my client must accept those consequences."She stated that the victim was was making his way past the taxi rank and came across a group that included Jeffrey. And she went on: "He spoke to them but Jeffrey took exception to something said by the complainerand struck him with a punch to the side of the head. This caused him to fall and strike his head off the concrete.Sentence on Jeffrey, of Carrick Road, East Kilbride, was deferred until August for background reports and his bail was continued.
