The former champion jockey is due to face court next month. His friend and former lawyer Pat Lennon will also face court.

Former champion jockey Danny Nikolic will face a Melbourne court next month on charges including aggravated burglary, stalking, intentionally damaging property and theft of a motor vehicle.

Both matters are due for a mention hearing in Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court on July 8. The court did not provide specific information about the two alleged incidents, such as locations or dates. A winner of some of the nation’s most prestigious races including the Crown Oaks, Turnbull Stakes and Rosehill Guineas, Nikolic has also been banned from Crown casino under Victoria Police orders.

Nikolic tried to take possession of the borrower’s home after he defaulted on the loan, which required annual interest payments of 23 per cent.
