A 35-year-old man in the murder of two young girls is expected to appear in the Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.

The accused is facing a charge of murder, five counts of attempted murder, two counts of arson, and being in the country illegally. According to NPA regional spokesperson Lumka Mahanjana, the suspect was remanded in custody, and his case postponed for bail investigations and a legal representative.“It is alleged that on June 2, the man and his accomplice who has not been apprehended, went to a tavern in Akasia and the homes of Moshate Forum members and their relatives, and started shooting at them. Afterwards, the two set the tavern and the complainant’s house alight,” said Mahanjana.
