Jason Palmer was allegedly stabbed and his body dumped in the Nepean River before being weighed down with rocks. Now his alleged murderer will face court 20 years later.

It was the murder mystery straight out of a novel: a family man described as a “battler” was found dead by a group of children, his body inside a sleeping bag weighted with rocks submerged in the Nepean River.

Three weeks after Palmer was reported missing a group of children playing on the banks of the Nepean River at Menangle made the awful discovery of his body, submerged in the water.
