It all started on Friday when Pct. 4 Harris County Deputy Deteryon Fontonet saw Coleman’s vehicle after he allegedly robbed two Academy Sports and Outdoors stores using a fully automatic AR-15 pistol.When Coleman refused to surrender, a car chase began and ended in Spring.

“The officer did sustain injuries that were thankfully not life-threatening. What’s next is we’re going to wait for all the evidence to come in,” Cody Kelemen, Assistant District Attorney said. “Any crime, we will always prosecute based upon the evidence at hand, no matter how small, whether it’s a misdemeanor or all the way to a capital murder.

At last check, Deputy Fontonet still has bullet fragments in three different locations in his body. He is at home resting. Coleman’s bond is still set at $150,000.
