DC's New Evil Justice League Assemble in a 'Team Photo' So Breathtaking, We're Almost Cheering for Them

Absolute Power is nearly here and Amanda Waller is about to unleash Task Force VII on the world. This cover paints Waller's new squad in an interesting light and raises the question of what they're going to bring to the DCU.

DC Comics has given fans a glimpse at what lies ahead this September with its latest solicitations. Absolute Power continues to shake up the world of heroes and villains with its main series and numerous tie-in issues and spin-offs. In addition to some spectacular main covers, there are some truly intriguing variants that showcase the event's new antagonists, Task Force VII.

Absolute Power #3 comes with a variant cover by artist Mark Spears that shows off Batman's twisted robot doppelganger Failsafe. Failsafe is surrounded by his new terrifying new teammates, Amazos who have all copied the Justice League's powers.Amanda Waller has been trying to establish her own brand of order, but she wasn't the only one who had that kind of ambition.

Waller, of course, is going to come into possession of these Amazos and Failsafe to create Task Force VII. While fans have yet to meet the team in the pages of a DC Comic, this cover is one of the best looks fans have had at this robotic Justice League yet. It's a bit unsettling to see these automatons and their cold, dead-eyed stars aping the style of the DC Universe's best heroes. But it does make one wonder what this team is capable of.

Amanda Waller's New Team Has Serious Potential Fans have yet to see what the members of Task Force VII are capable of. But this cover makes the nearly all-Amazo team seem quite intimidating. Readers have seen corrupted or otherwise evil Justice League-like teams before, but this cover does a fantastic job of selling the creepy threat the real Justice League is going to have to overcome.
