A bill to create buffer zones outside hospitals and clinics providing abortion services in Scotland will become law after it was backed by MSPs.The bill will now be sent for Royal Assent. This should happen in about four weeks, after which it will become law.
Texas-based anti-abortion group 40 Days For Life carried out nearly six weeks of protest outside the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow last year and in 2022. The Record also revealed last year how activists from the extremist Scottish Family Party planned to “brick up” the Sandyford clinic in Glasgow.
