Secret recordings released this week revealed Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito telling an undercover filmmaker that he agrees the U.S. should return to a “place of godliness” and attacking the media for only going after justices because they don’t like their rulings—the latest in a string of controversies the conservative justice has faced, which have accelerated in recent years.
