While Bahrain imprisons and harasses its critics with impunity, Britain continues to be one of its closest allies, says Sayed Alwadaei, director of the Bahrain Institute for Rights and Democracy

This week, a court in my home country, Bahrain, reached a verdict in one of the largest mass trials in the nation’s history. Jail terms were handed to 139 people, including 69 life sentences, ostensibly for terrorism-related offences. All but one were stripped of their citizenship.

Why not? Terrorists should go back to their ancestors’ home countries. UK revoke citizenship of ISIS recruit Shamima Begum & she will join 120 suspected jihadists/criminals since 2016 who have been stripped of their British nationality and banned from returning to the UK. ❤️🇧🇭❤️

It’s a shame what’s happening in Bahrain, but cutting ties won’t help the situation. And I don’t see why you should be given indefinite leave to stay in the UK. I’m fed up with the UK being the go-to repository for foreign nationals.

Tragic

Saudi Arabia. Bahrain. Sunni monarchies. Good people. Good People. Oil. Our friends. Persia, Iran. Shia republic. Bad very very bad. Oil Their oil. Not our friends. Iseael. Jews. Lovely people. No oil but money. Out friends. Peace lovers. Sunni = Muslim. Shia = Islamist. ;)

Write Bahrainis read TERRORISTS!
