Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes' appeal to be heard in San Francisco federal court

Holmes' attorneys focused their appeal on the judge's decision to permit testimony from ex-Theranos clinical lab director Kingshuk Das as a source of information about key events rather than as an expert witness. "Her claims are meritless, but, regardless, unavailing given the overwhelming evidence and independent categories of fraudulent statements Holmes made," prosecutors said in a court filing last August.
