The High Court hears that two firms which carried out work at Najib Razak’s house were among 15 recipients of money that the prosecution says can be traced back to SRC International.

KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court heard today that renovation and plumbing works amounting to RM156,500 were carried out at the private residence of Najib Razak in Langgak Duta here.

Earlier this morning, AmIslamic Bank Bhd cheque processing manager Badrul Hisam Mohamed said ABS and Moz were among 15 recipients, that included two Barisan Nasional component parties, which received payments from two bank accounts belonging to Najib. Zulkarnain said he started work sometime in September or October 2014 and completed the work in early 2015.Zulkarnain said he was given a cheque for the work performed.

“The house is on a hill and the water pressure is low,” the witness said, adding that Syabas had asked him to attend to Najib’s house as he was registered with the company . Judge Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali, in dismissing the application by the defence, said the evidence of those who received and spent the money was relevant, both under the anti-money laundering law and criminal breach of trust.
