A federal High Court in Kano, yesterday, fixed June 13, 2024, for ruling on the jurisdiction of fundamental human rights suits on the Kano emirate. The court, presided by Justice Abdullahi Liman, also issued an order restraining reinstatement of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II.
The respondents in the case are Kano State Government, Kano State House of Assembly, Attorney General Of Kano State, Kano Commissioner Of Police, the Inspector General of Police and the Department of State Services. Police detectives attached to the anti-kidnapping unit of Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, have arrested an internet fraudster who duped a female U.S.-based Nigerian car dealer of N30 million in the guise of buying a Mercedes GL 350 car.
