The Abuja Federal High Court has threatened to jail the Director General of the Department of State Services , Yusuf Bichi, for alleged contempt of court. The court issued the threat following the DSS's penchant for disobeying its ruling regarding an order issued on Kanu's visitation while in the custody of the secret police. In the notice, the court warned the DSS DG to comply with its orders or face legal consequences.
” Our correspondent observed that the notice was acknowledged by DSS operatives named Tina James and Fatima Abdul. Recall that on May 20, 2024, while refusing Kanu’s application to restore his bail in line with the ruling of the Supreme Court, the Federal High Court, presided over by Justice Binta Murtala-Nyako, entered an order modifying the conditions of counsel visitation to Kanu.
