The Warwick School District will soon be in need of new leadership, as the district's current superintendent recently announced her resignation.
According to a public statement, Superintendent Dr. April Hershey and the Warwick Board of School Directors have come to a mutual agreement that Hershey will end her role as superintendent on June 30. Hershey reportedly approached the School Board about ending her employment within the District so she can pursue other career opportunities."Dr. Hershey admirably served as Warwick’s Superintendent for 15 years and demonstrated throughout that tenure her commitment to serving our students and staff in all District programs. The Board wishes Dr. Hershey well in her pursuit of the next chapter in her career," according to the public statement.
