Jamie Ray Mills spent his final hours alive on death row meeting with six visitors and enjoying a seafood feast.The cold-blooded killer was executed by lethal injection in Alabama on Thursday, marking the second execution in the state this year.Strapped to a gurney with an IV in both arms, Mills said his final words, 'I love my family. I love my brother and sister. I couldn't ask for anything more.... I love y'all. Carry on.
Warden Terry Raybon read the death warrant.Five witnesses and four media professionals watched the execution. The witnesses were his attorney, a brother, a sister, a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law.His spiritual advisor was also in attendance.On the day of the execution, Mills had six visitors. On Wednesday, he had six visitors and six phone calls.His final meal was a seafood feast, including three large shrimp, two catfish filets, three oysters, three onion rings and one stuffed crab.
