SUBANG Jaya mayor Datuk Mohd Fauzi Mohd Yatim is moving next door to head the Shah Alam City Council .
He announced his appointment when chairing his last full board meeting at Subang Jaya City Council headquarters on May 30.“Nevertheless, I will always remember everyone and all the things we have achieved together throughout my one-year tenure here,” he said.. Fauzi also emphasised the importance of maintaining a harmonious relationship among the MBSJ community.He also hoped initiatives like the eCakna app, which was an avenue for Subang Jaya residents to lodge complaints, would be retained.On May 28, outgoing Shah Alam mayor Cheremi Tarman announced his retirement after chairing MBSA’s full board meeting.“It is a great feeling to have been able to helm and work with a wonderful city council and talented staff,” he said.
In a post on social media, Selangor State Secretary Datuk Haris Kasim confirmed that Mohd Fauzi had been given a letter of appointment as Shah Alam mayor, effective June 4.
