An Ebute-Metta Chief Magistrate’s Court in Lagos, yesterday, granted a 60-year-old man, Ogungbe Emmanuel, bail after he pleaded not guilty

to a two-count charge of assault and breach of public peace.Ogungbe, whose residential address was not given, pleaded not guilty to a two-count charge of assault and breach of public peace.

He submitted that in the course of rendering her professional services, Ogungbe pounced on the counsel and inflicted serious injury on her.The magistrate, O.O. Ikobayo, granted Ogungbe bail in the sum of N500,000, with two responsible sureties in like sum. The police in Kaduna have arrested a notorious bandit and leader of a terrorist gang allegedly responsible for kidnapping in Plateau State.
