A woman has been warned she is breaking the law after she shared a supermarket self-checkout 'hack. ' Despite the widespread use of self-service checkouts, which largely depend on customer honesty, there are vulnerabilities that some exploit to reduce their grocery bills.
The woman discussed her technique in a letter to News.com. au's Sisters In Law, where she explained a disagreement with a friend. This platform allows individuals to pose legal queries to lawyers Alison and Jillian Barrett. The legal experts in application to this case said, "It doesn't matter how your friend tries to justify her behaviour, her deceitful conduct in intentionally not paying full price is against the law.
