LG autonomy: Ex-ALGON chairmen laud Appeal Court’s judgment

, chairmen have lauded the Court of Appeal’s judgment upholding the financial autonomy of local governments in Nigeria and monitoring of the management of local government funds by state governments.

Nwoke who ran for Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo federal constituency, on the platform of the Young Progressive Party in the 2023 general election, noted that the forum which remains a stakeholder in the affairs of the local government’s operations across Nigeria was elated that democracy and its dividends would be felt at the grassroots with the Appeal Court’s judgment.
