Emergency services were called to Saracen Street in the north of the city at around 5pm on Saturday, May 18, following reports of an alleged stabbing. Medics' rushed to the scene and found Brian Gough lying outside a bookmakers with serious injuries.

Two men have appeared in court charged with murder following the death of Brian Gough in the Possil area of the city.

The 27-year-old was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he tragically died a short time later. They were remanded in custody while the case was submitted for further examination. They are due to reappear in court within the next eight days.Alana Donachie said: "Absolutely gutted. So thankful to have so many many memories young and old. I can’t believe this at all. Rest in peace, Brian."
