Japan apex court dashes Ghosn’s hope for early release, say reports

JAPAN’S Supreme Court has rejected an appeal by Carlos Ghosn’s lawyers against his detention, said local media today, dashing the former Nissan boss’ hope for an early release. The 65-year-old former auto tycoon had appealed to the country’s top court after lower court judges ruled he could be questioned for a 10-day period until tomorrow over allegations of financial misconduct.
