A WA Supreme Court judge agrees to change the date of a hearing related to Senator Linda Reynolds' defamation case against her former staffer Brittany Higgins to allow Ms Higgins to focus on her wedding.

Senator Linda Reynolds is seeking details of a trust set up by her former staffer Brittany Higgins as part of her defamation action against Ms Higgins.The trust matter is due back in court on July 17, while the defamation matter is set to begin on July 24.

The posts related to Senator Reynolds's conduct after Ms Higgins was raped in Parliament House in 2019 by her former colleague Bruce Lehrmann. Justice Quinlan set the hearing for the trust matter on July 17, just days before the defamation trial brought on by Senator Reynolds is due to start on July 24.
