La organización estadounidense Human Rights Watch denunció el miércoles que Ecuador registra una serie de violaciones a los derechos humanos sin que los responsables rindan cuentas ante la justicia, luego de que el presidente Daniel Noboa decretara el estado de conflicto armado interno en enero en medio de una espiral de violencia generada por bandas criminales.

Asimismo, recalcó que muchas personas que se reportaron como detenidas, aparentemente nunca fueron llevadas ante un fiscal o un juez. Según el reporte, muchas de las más de 13.
