Mark Riddell is scheduled to appear in federal court in Boston Friday afternoon.

Prosecutors displayed this poster in Boston on March 12 as they revealed an alleged college admissions cheating and bribery scam orchestrated by consultant William"Rick" Singer.

Court documents say Riddell conspired with Singer and others from 2011 to this year to facilitate cheating on the ACT and SAT admission tests, in an effort to help the children of wealthy parents secure admission to prominent universities. In some cases, prosecutors say, Riddell secretly took the exams instead of the students. In others, they say, he replaced student responses on exams with his own.

Out of curiosity why in capitalistic society are we funding and using public resources to police and investigate problems of admission in private universities. I hope the schools will be fined to at least cover the costs

How many phony tests did this guy take for IMG Academy students? 🤔

It’s been a while since I took the SAT and the GRE, so I’m not current on practices, but aren’t these tests proctored and test-taker IDs checked?

Too bad about your paywall

Here’s a thought.... how about he started a business ... using his obvious brain...on how to .. prepare & study for the test.... he’d make a killing & wouldn’t be going to jail.....

When are we going to expel students, revoke credentials, and fire people who got in through these and similar schemes?

'Through out all test scores and end higher education, back to the plow folks,' so say CongressChic Ché O-C (NY-12).
