A Democrat congressman accused of bribery spent roughly half of the money for his 2024 campaign on legal services, according to data from the Federal Election Commission ., an international law firm that is reportedly representing Cuellar. The law firm was given nearly $690,000 in payments, according to FEC records.
Perkins Coie LLP is another law firm that shows up on the FEC records, and which received more than $46,900.
The DOJ’s indictment of the Cuellar’s came two years after agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation arrived at the couple’s home and served them with a search warrant.
