A US lawyer suing sanctioned mob boss Daniel Kinahan says he’s “frustrated” to learn that the mobster’s wife was able to buy and sell millions worth of assets.
Mr Montalvo, who has been hopeful of recovering some of Kinahan’s assets once he wins a major civil case against him, says the fact that the sanctioned mobster has been able to find a back door route to still buy and sell properties has to be questioned. “Otherwise it’s sort of a consequence without real teeth. They’ve created what we call a loophole that shouldn’t be there,” he said.
