Victorian Opposition Leader John Pesutto has settled two out of three of his defamation cases, issuing a public apology to British activist Kellie-Jay Keen and Melbourne woman Angela Jones.
The leader of the opposition in Victoria made the comments to ABC’s 7.30 following the anti-trans rights rally. At midnight on Friday, Mr Pesutto released a public statement apologising to the rally organisers, explaining that he does endorse conversations about women-only spaces and he never intended to tie Ms Keen and Ms Jones with the Nazi ideology.
“I think what this apology will do is it will give women just a morsel of comfort that actually they do have a right to speak about this quasi-religious authoritarian cult known as transgenderism, otherwise known as gender identity.
