Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y., asked the Justice Department to appoint a special counsel to investigate and possible prosecute President Biden over delayed military aid to Israel.

Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y., on Tuesday demanded in a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland that he appoint a special counsel to investigate President Biden for stalling military aid to Israel. The letter comes as reports Tuesday claimed the Biden administration has told key lawmakers it would send more than $1 billion in additional arms and ammunition to Israel.

Congressional intent with this legislation is clear: this aid is urgently needed and must be delivered as expeditiously as possible. However, instead of following the law, the Biden administration has delayed the delivery of this essential aid that has already been obligated,' Tenney wrote.
